Miyako Takashima

Miyako Takashima is a Senior Manager of Business Operations based in San Francisco, CA. She is passionate about empowering others to live healthier and happier lives. Miyako holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from American University and has earned both a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from UC Berkeley. These academic achievements honor the sacrifices made by her immigrant parents.

Miyako has served on the board of the YWCA of Cambridge, where she contributed to advocacy and fund development efforts. Her areas of expertise include strategic planning, operational execution, and cross-functional leadership. She is deeply committed to nutrition education and expanding access to healthy food, believing that food is medicine and that everyone deserves proper nourishment.

Miyako was drawn to FIERCE Advocates because of its mission to empower families and build stronger, healthier communities. She looks forward to supporting the organization through committee work and fundraising to advance its impactful initiatives.
