Across the Bay Area, many families are facing heightened fear and uncertainty in response to recent ICE activity. At FIERCE Advocates, we recognize the deep impact moments like these have on our communities, particularly for immigrant families who already carry the weight of systemic inequities and daily challenges.
As an organization rooted in love, equity, and community care, we know that healing and safety grow through connection, not isolation. This is why we are reaffirming our commitment to stand alongside families during this time. Our work has always centered the voices of Black, Latinx, and other parents and caregivers of color who strive for the well-being and thriving of their families. We believe that by caring for one another, sharing accurate information, and strengthening our networks of support, we create the conditions where families can feel safe, seen, and empowered.

Guided by our mission and values, we continue to invest in spaces that nurture healing and leadership. Through our Wellness groups and other community-led initiatives, we offer places for parents and caregivers to connect, process, and find collective strength.

In moments of uncertainty, community care becomes our greatest strength. FIERCE Advocates stands in solidarity with immigrant families and all who are feeling fear and anxiety due to recent ICE activity across the Bay Area. We know that these events have created deep concern, especially for families in Richmond and Contra Costa County.
Now and always, we believe that every family deserves to live without fear and with access to safety, support, and belonging. We encourage our community to care for one another, to stay informed through trusted sources, and to avoid sharing unverified information that can cause further distress.
