Nasrat is a dedicated communications professional whose work bridges storytelling, strategy, and community impact. With experience across both the nonprofit and public sectors, he is passionate about building trust, fostering civic participation, and amplifying voices that create lasting change.

Over the years, Nasrat has led initiatives that strengthen connections between institutions and the communities they serve. He has served as Public Information Officer for San Joaquin County Public Health Services, guiding outreach and media relations, and as Communications and Public Outreach Manager for the University Support and Workforce Development Program (USWDP) in Kabul. His leadership also includes serving as Executive Director of the Afghanistan Center for Commercial Dispute Resolution and as Deputy Director of the Human Rights Research and Advocacy Consortium, where he championed equity and human rights for marginalized communities.

Nasrat holds a Master of Arts in Poverty and Development from the University of Sussex and an Associate of Arts in Liberal Arts and Sciences from San Joaquin Delta College. His academic and professional journey reflects a deep commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion in every space he serves.

Beyond his communications work, Nasrat is a passionate writer and storyteller. He is the author of Blue Blood Mirage – On the Other Side of Illusion and Better Halves, and has recently completed his second novel, Casualty of Circumstance. Through his writing, he continues to explore themes of social justice, resilience, and human development; the same values that drive his work in the community.

Nasrat believes that effective communication is more than sharing information, it’s about building understanding, inspiring action, and creating connection.
