EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Sheryl leads FIERCE Advocates with a vision rooted in equity, empowerment, and transformation. She oversees a dedicated team advancing FIERCE’s mission to invest in individual and collective healing and cultivate thriving families that drive community change.

Sheryl is an experienced social sector leader with a strong background in nonprofit management, policy strategy, and community development.

Prior to joining FIERCE Advocates, she served as Director of Policy and Partnerships at SaverLife, a national nonprofit focused on financial security for working families. She also directed the Richmond Equitable Development Initiative at Urban Habitat and served as a Community Relations and Policy Analyst for the Mayor of San Jose supporting inclusive policy solutions for communities across the region.

Sheryl holds a Master of Science in Urban Policy and Management from The New School and dual Bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Psychology and Social Behavior from the University of California, Irvine.

Outside of her professional work, Sheryl finds her greatest joy in motherhood and is the proud parent of her son.
